When you create an account with The Crafted Home, we collect the essential information required to process your orders and provide a personalised shopping experience. This includes your name, email address, and delivery preferences.

Security Tip: We recommend using a unique, strong password for your account. We do not have access to your password; it is stored in an encrypted format. If you forget your password, you can reset it via the “Forgotten Password” link on the login page.

To make your future purchases faster and easier, we store the following in your secure account dashboard:

  • Order History: A record of your past UK and international purchases.
  • Address Book: Saved delivery and billing addresses.

Please note: We do not store full credit card details. All financial transactions are handled securely through PayPal.

3. Data Retention & The “3-Month Flush”

We believe in data minimisation. While your account information remains active as long as you wish to shop with us, our tracking and caching data follows a strict lifecycle:

  • Session Data & Cookies: Automatically flushed every three months.
  • Inactive Accounts: If an account remains inactive for more than 24 months, we may contact you to ask if you wish to keep it open. If not, it will be securely archived or deleted.

4. Your Rights: Access & Deletion

Under UK GDPR, you have full control over your data. You can exercise these rights at any time:

  • Right to Access: You can download a summary of your data directly from your account settings or by emailing compliance@dev.thecraftedhome.co.uk.
  • Right to Rectification: You can update your personal details instantly through your “My Account” page.
  • Right to Erasure: If you wish to close your account and have all your personal data deleted from our systems, please contact our Compliance team. We will process your request within 30 days.
