The Aluminium Chair is one of the great furniture designs of the twentieth century. Charles and Ray Eames conceived and developed this chair in 1958 for the private residence of an art collector.
For its construction, the designer couple departed from the principle of the seat shell, instead stretching a panel of fabric or leather between two aluminium side members to create a taut but elastic seat.
The chair adapts to the body of the sitter and is exceedingly comfortable, even without elaborate upholstery.
Equipped with a tilt mechanism that can be adjusted for optimum comfort.

High-frequency welded horizontal ribbing, in premium fabric or leather.
Side profiles and spreaders in die-cast aluminium, in various finishes.

If your items are in stock we'll contact you within a couple of days to offer a suitable date.
If they're made to order, we'll contact you as soon as our suppliers have delivered into us.
Deliveries are Mon-Fri but Saturday slots can often be arranged for most of the country.
Hassle-free returns
All online specialist orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery, regardless of reason.
Contact us and we will arrange for a crew to come out and collect the furniture.
There's no charge if it's faulty, but we do charge for change-of-mind returns.
